Become a Member

Becoming a member of the Phoenix Food Co-op is an exciting way to participate in your local food system. Members own the Co-op: this means that they are given certain rights and benefits as long as they are in good standing.

Co-op Benefits

By purchasing a membership share, you are indicating that you have read and agree to the Bylaws.

The Co-op is in the planning stages of opening a customer-owned grocery store. The Co-op is currently making sales online for pickup, but does not yet have a retail location. We plan to do a capital campaign to raise the funds needed to open a grocery store, and memberships are the first step. For details, please see our About Us page.

The Co-op will return your $100 to you if you leave the Co-op, but this is dependent on the discretion of the board and availability of funds. Launching a start-up grocery store is risky, and you could lose your membership fee if the Co-op is not able to launch a profitable retail location.

If you have questions about becoming a member, we invite you to email us at hello@phxfood.coop. You can also see a recording of one of our membership info sessions here.

Sales will be made only to residents of the state of Arizona. Offers and sales of these securities are made under an exemption from registration and have not been registered under the Securities Act of 1933. For a period of six months from the date of the sale by the issuer of the securities, any resale of the securities shall be made only to persons resident within the state of Arizona.
